A little quirky and offbeat, the pieces from the John Derian Company are literally flying off the shelves at the New York Home & Gift Market. This designer works from a small NY studio and hand-designs his decoupaged treasures on a made-to-order basis. His accessories, in fun colors and kitschy designs, are inspired by everyday things (florals, birds, desserts, etc) and bring a breath of fresh air to the idea of typical knick-knacks. This year's Metrocon Expo & Conference (sponsored by OM Workspace and DG Publishing Inc) went off without a hitch.
